The UC Irvine Institute for Immunology is seeking post-doctoral fellowship candidates for the following research programs:

Immuno-Virology and Vaccine Development

The Laboratory of Cellular and Molecular Immunology at Gavin Herbert Eye Institute, School of Medicine, at the University of California, Irvine has two openings for postdoctoral scholar positions.
Applications are being sought from recent Ph.D, or M.D./Ph.D. graduates in the Biological/Immunological Sciences. Interdisciplinary skills and approaches in Genomics, RNA Sequencing, FACS, Advanced Imaging, Biochemistry, Bioinformatics, Immunology and Cell Biology are strongly desired. The incumbent must be comfortable and/or have experience in working with laboratory animals (mice, guinea pigs, hamsters and rabbits), with human samples and an understanding of advanced immunological, virological methods and/or genomics. This is an ongoing recruitment. Positions are immediately open.

Salary will be determined based on qualifications and experience.

Immune Regulation

The Spatiotemporal Dynamics of Immune Regulation Lab is currently seeking multiple candidates at the post-doctoral level to uncover new insights into immune regulation. We study how adjuvants program immune responses; how checkpoint blockade modulates tumor-associated T regulatory (Treg) cells; and how Treg cells selectively fine-tune CNS autoimmunity, using state-of-the-art Immunoimaging approaches pioneered at UCI by our Chair Prof. Michael D. Cahalan.(https://www.faculty.uci.edu/profile.cfm?faculty_id=2150).

Minimum Qualifications

Successful candidates will have a strong background in immunology and/or cell biology, experience with fluorescence microscopy is highly desirable.

Application Procedure

Applicants require:
• Curriculum Vitae
• A research statement describing your experience and future goals
• Names and contact information for 3-4 references

Inquiries can be made to Dr. Othy (sothy@uci.edu), Dr. Marangoni (f.marangoni@uci.edu), or Prof. Cahalan (mcahalan@uci.edu)
