Dr. Marangoni’s research program examines immunomodulatory mechanisms in healthy tissues and tumors using functional intravital microscopy. He published his studies on the effects of checkpoint immunotherapy on tumor Treg in Cell in 2021, and his proposal to map the fate of inflammatory macrophages using a new transgenic mouse model and intravital microscopy received a 2nd percentile score from NIH-NIAMS. Dr. Marangoni hired Dr. Shiva Othy from the Cahalan lab as a Researcher with extensive experience in multiphoton imaging (Nat Comm 2015, eLife 2017, PNAS 2020, Science Reports 2021). The other members of his Lab are the graduate students Alexander Moshensky and Rachel Sousa, and the research technician and Lab manager Shannon Geels.
